This is a Spring picture of the back-corner of the historic back-corner of President U.S. Grantââ¬â¢s house located in Galena, Illinois in Jo Davies County. This two-story brick house was designed by William Dennison, it is an example of Italianate architecture, it was built in 1860 and given to U.S. Grant in 1865 by local Republicans. The House was added to the National Register of Historic Places on October 15, 1966 and declared a National Historic Landmark on December 19, 1960. This picture was taken on April 27, 2018.
